Frequently Asked Questions about Coaching HER® and Becoming a Coaching HER® Champion

FAQ

Coaching HER® provides coaches the tools to tackle the most central, yet unaddressed, issue in youth sport—the unconscious gender biases and stereotypes of coaches which can negatively impact girls’ performance, self-perceptions, sport choices and experiences.
All coaches who coach girls (and women) at any level, from developmental to performance, will benefit from Coaching HER®.
Coaching HER® provides free flexible, self-paced courses you can complete anytime, anywhere — on your laptop or phone. You'll also have access to a growing collection of resources, events, and community designed to support you throughout your coaching journey.
Each course is divided into short modules, with each one taking about 20 minutes to complete. Modules are numbered to suggest a recommended order, but you’re free to complete them in whatever sequence works best for you.

The term “girls” in Coaching HER® refers to someone under the age of 18 who was assigned female at birth, or who identifies as a girl. Coaching HER® is inclusive of gender-expansive identities.

A Coaching HER® Champion is an entity in: sports, coaching, organizational development, and/or education, etc. who coaches, leads, and works with girls and women and offers the Coaching HER® learning modules to their coaches, parents, and leaders, ensuring that they have the tools and knowledge to create supportive, inclusive environments for girls in sports.

Champions range from grassroots community organizations to national and international associations, who are committed to empowering female athletes.

It's FREE to be a Champion!
