Foundational

The Coaching HER® Foundational Modules (FM) address often-overlooked but deeply influential issues that shape girls’ and women’s experiences in sport, specifically the impact of coaches’ unconscious gender biases and stereotypes. Upon completion, you’ll earn a Foundational Course badge recognizing your commitment to keeping girls active and helping them thrive through the critical drop-out years.

WHAT OUR COACHES SAY

This module addressed stuff I myself had to deal with while growing in sport and helped me on more ways of how to identify when a child is being gender stereotyped and how to deal it.

-Coach Sarah, Soccer

Educational and eye opener. Wonderful course.

- Coach Damian, Basketball

I appreciate the additional resource and supplemental reading material as well as the downloadable pdf documents that can be shared and used for discussion with other coaches and colleagues.

-Morgan, High School AD

This is a great tool to help me develop as a coach and expand my knowledge on how to coach different genders by not being biased and stereotypical.

- Coach Alex, Strength

This has great insight on how i need to prepare as a coach to make sure that girls feel safe when playing sport.

- Coach Suzu, Table Tennis

I really liked the scenario and details provided. The explanation of why the statement "you throw like a girl" was helpful to see, and the multiple different ways to react in that module included a wide variety of options and ways to address the statement. I really learn from the multiple examples.
